NOTE: If you want to download or save any of these pictures, with a Windows computer just RIGHT CLICK on the enlarged picture you want, and select "Save Picture As" to save it as a .JPG picture file on your own computer for printing or inserting into another document. REMEMBER TO VOTE FOR AGEHR OFFICERS! The Area VIII board will have ballots in Quavers that should be in your mailboxes very shortly. Open positions include Chair-elect, Treasurer and Secretary. Voting makes YOUR voice heard! Kathryn Jaeger, the current Iowa Chair, is running for Area VIII Secretary and would appreciate your vote.
BELLS/EQUIPMENT/MUSIC DESTROYED BY STORMS OR FLOODS?? At the Area VIII Handbell Conference in Peoria June 18-21, there was an outpouring of support for those handbell programs that were affected by the recent flooding and storms in Iowa. If you or someone your know has had their handbells/handchimes or other equipment destroyed or damaged, please contact Kathryn, jkdjaeger@juno.com, or Carolyn, carolynlfs@mchsi.com, and they will coordinate getting you in touch with people who can help you recover.

MUSIC DESTROYED BY STORMS/FLOODS? Lorenz music has generously offered to replace any of their arrangements that were lost in the recent storms for only 10% of cost. Please contact jkdjaeger@juno.com and she will get you in touch with the right people.

Please send an email containing your release or item to webmaster@agehr-ia.org or one of the committee members IN THE EXACT WORDING THAT YOU WANT TO APPEAR ON THE WEBSITE. If you send bits and pieces scattered within an email, and leave it to the webmaster to actually compose the final wording, you are trusting ME to figure out what is to be said, with an unknown degree of accuracy because I am guessing at what you meant....and it takes longer to get it posted if I have to do it.. Attach JPEG pictures as you wish, we are glad to include those.......thanks, webmaster

ILLINOIS AGEHR WEBSITE NAME HIJACKED by a Russian pornographic site (!) operator. Note that our LINKS page shows the new site name, www.ilagehr.org. For all you webmasters out there, this is unfortunately a hard-learned lesson in what has become a popular tactic: porn site operators watch the internet domain sites for domain names (such as the old Illinois domain name, agehr-il) to expire, and then quickly snap them up for a few dollars a year and use the previously established site names to get traffic to their porn sites. And once you lose the domain name to someone else, there is usually not much you can do. Unfortunately, it appears that the Illinois webmaster was just a day or two late renewing their domain name for the next year....and the rest is history. So if you want to read about bells in Illinois, note the new website name.
